First-ever national parliamentary convention on HIV/AIDS in India UNAIDS release New Delhi, 25 July 2003 Urgent action against HIV/AIDS must be taken now to turn back the epidemic, according to the Parliamentary Forum on HIV/AIDS. The Forum is organising the first-ever National Convention for elected representatives in New Delhi from 26-27 July. The Convention will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and bring together over 1000 political leaders from across the country, including ministers, parliamentarians, legislators, and mayors.
